Academic and Professional Recognition

GIDAFS’s governing framework permits fellowship as a form of academic and professional recognition. It provides for the titles Fellow, Senior Fellow, Distinguished Fellow, and Honorary Fellow.

The purpose is to recognize contributions relevant to the Institute’s mission in finance, financial security, digital assets, public governance, and related fields.

Fellowship Designations

The meaning, eligibility requirements, and responsibilities of each designation depend on the Institute’s approved fellowship rules. The governing document identifies possible titles but does not establish a universal set of requirements for each one.

Contributions Within Scope

Relevant contributions may involve research, the development of professional knowledge, regulatory analysis, educational work, or improvements in financial governance. Any nomination should identify the contribution and the evidence supporting it.

Selection and Institutional Oversight

The Institute’s framework allows for a Fellowship Council and other expert bodies. The structure of a particular selection process depends on the rules approved for that program.

Integrity, impartiality, and the disclosure of conflicts of interest are central to the Institute’s governance framework.

Fellowship Inquiries

Contact GIDAFS for information about fellowship designations, applicable criteria, and whether nominations are being accepted. An inquiry is an opportunity to learn about the process and does not confer a title.

Other Ways to Engage
